“Travel is fatal to prejudice, bigotry, and narrow-mindedness, and many of our people need it sorely on these accounts. Broad, wholesome, charitable views of men and things cannot be acquired by vegetating in one little corner of the earth all one's lifetime.” -Mark Twain
My travel philosophy. The beauty of travel is that one sees the world through new eyes. For me travel is transcendent. It allows me to unravel, separating who I am from who I thought I was. Travel provides the opportunity to create memories with my family. More than anything though it allows me to connect. Connect with nature, i.e the living world and the beautiful human inhabitants. For me, travel brings me closer to where I was born to be. It exposes me to myself.

Live from Tucson,AzTravel uplifts. By draining, I become full. In releasing I find abundance. In grief, I discover hope. Finding my way on this journey, literally and figuratively helps cement my footprint in this world. Chasing Dragonflies, created as a way to document and share our travels will also feature social commentary, questions and other current likes, loves and joys as well as the converse of the aforementioned. For this moment, I would like to share this art by Monica Sjoo. Along with that, here is the article that introduced me to the art, and inspired a new connection between birth and liberation of the feminine.
